Hello everyone!
As promised, here's the news!
First of all, we would like to apologize about the shipping delay for Dream Mixes 5 which is now scheduled for mid of next week.
This is a real bother, cause all production parts did reach the pressing plant in time but then an error has occurred locally that cannot be described easily. Well, we seek good fortune, misfortune seeks us.
If you are in the mood for reading, please take a look at Jerome's site where he wrote down some more infos about the DM5 project.
http://www.moonpop.org/jerome/jfindex.htm
So, what else is new? As already mentioned Moonpop is going to celebrate it's five year anniversary in 2010. And that implies a couple of new releases for all friends of unformatted music.
1. Nightshade Family
After we've got quite a lot of requests, our next release this year will be "Nightshade Family" a live album from one of Jerome's few concerts in the past, containing the whole set without overdubs. We're going to put the plan into action at the end of April 2010. Hopefully, there will be some more gigs soon. Feel jumpy? Good!
2. Preventive Medicine
May/June 2010 will see "Preventive Medicine" a follow up to th e quite successful "Precooked Munchies" EP in 2007! . In adv ance, this EP will offer you one or two tunes from Jerome Froese's third solo album which is still untitled. Unfortunately, to this day the final release date is fairly vague, because of JF's work on Tangerine Dream's - Dream Mixes 5 release. In addition to that, "Preventive Medicine" will include a track from Jerome's "Powdermelt" project as well, plus one or two unreleased or remixed tunes. Feel excited? Well done!
3. Moonloop(s)
Summer 2010 ... A new series will soon enter the Moonpop ship, which we call "Moonloop(s)". Every issue of this product will contain a very specific audio/visual (cover) motto and two titles of music with an undetermined lenght. These mottos are not bound by any form and can contain a great deal of weirdness or d isturbance but not necessarily restricted to that. According to that, it might very well be possible to include cooperations with other artists. Moonloop(s) will be released three to four times a year in a very small number of factory manufactured copies with a price of 9.99 EUR each + shipping. As a very special goddie, the first 15 copies of every edition will be unique and handcrafted CD-R's made by Jerome himself with a different and special visual theme of the motto (Prices may vary). Feel logy? Get some "Preventive Medicine" soon!!!
4. Nothing at point four!!
Now, please be as happy as a lark about this news )
Cheers,
The Moonpop Crew |
