Just pre ordered mine for £9.99 from Amazon with free post - is on HMV for £8.99 also free post but they've got the release date as the 25th not the 11th and I didn't want to risk waiting 2 weeks for the sake of a quid.

Also pre ordered new Orbital at Glastonbury CD/ DVD which was an amazing bonus as I didn't even know anything about it. Not sure if the DVD is just audio or visuals as well, now that would be a real treat!

Looks like the headphones are going to take an almighty bashing next week!

Too right - been listening to the Brown album in the car today - what a record that is! Remind never fails to send me into orbit!

I treasure the 2 recordings I taped from the Radio 1 shows they did at Maida Vale, but the tiny audience of about 50 people (shouting about badgers for some bizarre reason) tends to diminsh the grandeur of the music, so the Glasto recordings should be something special. Especially as I was at most of them, although memories are somewhat hazy....

Paul Hartnoll's album is well worth invetsigating as well - obvious Orbital references, but a bit darker and with more orchestration similar to some of their soundtrack work. Patchwork Guilt on the other hand has a very Berlin School sound and really reminded me of Church Theme/ Silver Scale.

Lush album (pun intended!)...one of the very best EM dance albums.
And the lads were big fans of TD in the eighties

hello,
thanks for your patience throughout the last couple of months (or years?) -
i can finally confirm that independiente will
release the "quicksand memory" ep today, while
the new album "goodbye" will follow on june25.
i will add domino´s american release dates as soon as i can get hold of them;
live dates are in preparation for late summer/autumn.

*LEAKING GOODBYE
while i´m aware that there´s not much point in
complaining about the fact that mp3s of the album
have been out there for a while now, i´d still
like to mention that these mp3s are based on a
version of the record that i´m not entirely happy
with - there were some mastering issues (too
harsh compression that was causing a "pumping"
effect) which have been resolved only quite
recently.

*AIRIEL
i was lucky enough to be asked to contribute a
few synth bits to "sugar crystals" which features
on airiel´s excellent debut album "the battle of
sealand" - this will be released very soon on
highwheel records.

*REMIX UPDATE
a few new remixes (dragons, televise and high
violets) have been finished recently - will add
some more detailed release information as soon as
possible.

*HOME STEREO FAVOURITES
*a sunny day in glasgow: scribble mural comic journal
*fleeting joys: extra sensory/don´t go downloads
*myspace.com/lochheed
*mahogany: connectivity! (uk release on track&field)
*auburn lull: new album demos
*johannes schmoelling: images & memory anthology
*twelve: 03 part one
*causa sui: free ride
*engineers: new album
*siobhan donaghy: ghosts
*stars of the lid: and their refinement of the decline
*fields: everything last winter
*sarabeth tucek: sarabeth tucek
*keren ann: keren ann
*experimental aircraft: third transmission
*all in the golden afternoon: all in the golden afternoon
*rachel goldstar: introducing... 2001-2005
*marissa nadler: songs 3
*onetwo: instead
*svarte greiner: knive
*robin guthrie & harold budd:
before the day breaks/after the night falls

there´s some great re-issues out at the moment as well:
*prefab sprout: steve mcqueen
*black dog: book of dogma
*chapterhouse: the best of
*and seefeel´s monumental "quique" has been re-released as well!!

Must agree the "Brown Album" is a complete corker as is most of Orbital's output IMHO............My personal favorite track by them would be "Impact USA" thats an absolute peach Cool

The live version of Impact on the 12"s they released a few years ago is stunning, hope it's on the new release - can't remember the track listing.

But all time fave live track's got to be Halcyon with the Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle samples, I'll never forget the first time I heard them play that - pure cheesy joy!

So is the album coming out today or on the 25th? Amazon says today - I'll be gutted if it's the latter as I could've saved a quid and got it from HMV! Also it might mean they hang onto the Orbital until then as well as I went for the cheapo postal option!

I knew I should have gone to the shops after work!
